my definition of a “bum” is a leach or a parasite. somebody that, pretty much is determined to live off of you in order to come up or in order to rise to the top or whatever. they don’t have any intentions of pouring back into you; giving you back in return what you’ve given to them. they ain’t got no job. they ain’t tryna get no job. they living from this place to that place. living off of this person and that person so, a bum is basically like a leach. a parasite. somebody that’s just looking for some__looking to come up off somebody’s livelihood

umm… it’s__it’s really not about, you know, like, looking bad

it’s a__it’s a__ it’s an acronym actually. uh, bum, b_u_m, three letters, real simple. it stands for … uh … the first__the first letter stands for “beautiful” so__so, to have things that are beautiful, you know, in life … in life there are a lot of things that are beautiful but people don’t see it because they only see the outside appearance of people. like me? i’m a great human being but people rarely see that, because they look at the outside and be like “oh, his shoes are leaning. oh, his__his__his pants are on this way. his shirt is on that way.” and i’m like “alright but, do you ever like look inside?”

uhh, the second part stands for “unique”
uhh, i feel like, with me you have to be unique in like everything you do. it’s people out here who have the same goals as you__ the same goals and aspirations as you so it’s__ y_you have to be unique
right
and then, the last part, the m, stands for “mind” because everything__everything that you do has to come from within your mind. every decision you make, every__every step, every thing comes from your mind. with this album, i just really wanted people to take “bum” and don’t look at it as me being, you know, a trash person. look at it as me being__or having rather__a “beautiful unique mind”

so, putting it all together, it’s like, yeah … having a beautiful, unique mind but also, being beautiful, being unique, and using your mind
