fun fact
i was chased around the playground with a thumbtack
by a psychotic kid who only knew how to punch back
when you’d try to play a prank on him at lunch and take his lunch bag
but i didn’t know what i did wrong and i hadn’t been once stabbed
i wanted to keep it that way, so when chased me i would run fast
but this kid was determined, not even tired after one lap
not that i lack the stamina but it’s cold up there in canada so running in cold temperatures is never a fun task
every thought was off the dome, like coming up with a come back
in roast battle you started cause you thought it was a fun act
in the heat of the situation
i felt the urge to defend myself
but i knew that he most certainly would’ve struck back
20 yards after 20 yards there was a certain
line that if crossed i wouldn’t return from
it was almost like a touchback
at one point he was slowing down and thought that this was over
but he reached for another thumbtack and was like “you’re gonna be so hurt!”
now i was really screwed, my legs were feeling like yogurt
to add to it there was less and less fuel in the motor
looked up at the clock and there was only a minute left
i felt relieved knowing that soon i would catch my breath
“i can do this, i can do this” is what i would think to self
but i had 60 seconds left to outrun this kid as well
he was on my tail and said
“you’re about to be history, we’ll share the blame, and in the princ_p_l’s office you’ll have to sit with me!”
i said “you’ll be the one in trouble cause you have the weaponry, so if i just defend myself i think you’ll be the next to leave”
angered at my words, he was enraged and then he hit a speed that i didn’t know was possible for just another kid like me
30 seconds left, 25, 20, and then 15
i made a turn for the door so i could just get in quickly
the day went by and when i later asked why he threatened me
he said, “i mean no harm”
he just wanted to be friends with me
