as we go along our journey what is it that guides us?
is it past present future or something else inside us?
i believe looking back on our past
help us outlast with our back flashes
smashes our previous clashes
of what of happens in our mishappens
our old problems help us solve our muddles
we have to learn from them, push past our troubles
and grow we show how we know we can go through
any hardships faced based on previous goofs
take for example the seventh man
he can not
deal with guilt after his friend got k!lled
the seventh man didn’t die
but before his eyes, he said

“it took precious years that can never be replaced”
for him to face that one waves decimation
his past made a lasting devastation
on his life his strife within himself
made his own personal h-ll
the past may have guided him in the wrong direction
but the past is what healed him in his painting reflection
with learning k would never hate

waking up with fear
guilt over that boy? he shoulda never shed a tear

my past helps me know my goal

not the present’s presentation or our future destination
if you think that you can go
without evolving from what you used to know
then you can’t change

but your journey’s guided by the past
