the response in d.c. was more like a dry run, a first attempt at using federal police to stop protests
now more than 100 law enforcement officers have been deployed to portland, oregon
and many of those officers are not identifying themselves verbally or through insignia on their uniforms
they’re driving around in vehicles not marked as law enforcement
and they refuse to say who they are even to those that they arrest
they have apparently kidnapped protestors off the street and taken them to jail cells
