what got you into music?
it was actually during quarantine when my older brother, wilfred, started producing music to impress one of his friends. he pushed me into making a song with him one day, and the rest is history.
who inspired you to make music?
definitely my older brother. he’s the main reason i started making music
how would you describe the music that you typically create?
i would definitely describe my music as pop.
what is your creative process like?
i usually start with humming a melody for either guitar or piano. my producer and i will work together to turn my humming into a beat until i’m happy with it. i start off writing melodies, and then will move on to writing the lyrics and really creating the story for the song.
who would you most like to collaborate with and why?
it would have to be harry styles. he is such an icon in this industry, and i’ve been obsessed with him since i was 6.
is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?
yes, i want my music to make people feel more confident. i want people to feel like they can be, do, or have anything they want when they listen to my music.
what advice would you give to aspiring musicians who are just starting out in the industry?
i would tell them to be confident! at this point, only your own opinion of yourself matters. confidence is what draws attention to you, and people only pay attention when they can see that you’re sure of yourself.
how would you describe your music style and sound to someone who hasn’t heard it before?
i would say my music is very nostalgic. kind of like a good smell from your childhood that you can’t quite put your finger on.
