mint szú az elaggott, elhalt tölgyet

megbarnult, szótalan állkapcsok

magába nyelte koszorús koporsók szűntelen jöttét
a csontvárba zsúfolt holtakra emelt deszkatemető

siralomhegyeken át
a forrásvölgy szólít
járatlan útjaira
ím a sírontúli álomvaló…

csatákban elesettek tűnő nevét óvó
komor márvány emlékoszlop
tövében talán
feledett istenséghez suttogtak

ahonnan most harang szól, egykor fáklya lobbant
fel a holdsápadt égig
az őrület győzedelme
ahogy a szentlélek lángra kap!

járatlan útjaira
ez a sírontúli álomvaló…

hiding bones, row of ancient crypts
as bark beetle tracks in old, dead oak
they fill this place

earth’s color
browned, wordless jaws
centuries past
since the glorious black death enthroned this place

the wooden cemetery, raised on corpses crowded in bonecastle
swallowed the incessant coming of wreathed coffins

through weeping hills
fountain dale calls
to untrodden paths
it is, sepulchral dream-truth…

maybe by the leg
of a dismal marble memorial column
keeping the caducous names of fallen in war
whisperings heard for a god forgotten

where now the bell tolls, long ago a torch blazed
up to the moonpale sky
the glory of madness
when holy spirit ignites!
