so he snuck up to her house late at night

they start shouting that they are going to call the police
he panicked and he didn’t know what to do

and dad in jail for selling drugs
and all i ever wanted from him was hugs
is what he thought to himself
as the police pulled up to the driveway
he was telling himself
shoot them and make a get away
but his trigger finger wasn’t responding
the parent slapped the gun away
and brought him to the floor
so what he didn’t care anymore
is what he told himself
through all the tears
fast foward he’s been in juvie for years
his mama was arrested for drug possession
and his grandma p-ssed away to heaven
but now he has a better outlook on life
because he knows that his mama wasn’t a good parent
and in the end all he wanted some love
ain’t that some sh-t?
