the roanoke colony, also known as the lost colony, established on roanoke island, in what is today’s dare county, north carolina, united states, was a late 16th-century attempt by queen elizabeth i to establish a permanent english settlement. the colony was founded by sir walter raleigh
the colonists disappeared during the anglo-spanish war, three years after the last shipment of supplies from england. their disappearance gave rise to the nickname “the lost colony.” what i think what happened to the colonist is that they were on that ship, then one day a big storm happened, and they had no shelter or strong shelter what so ever, and the ship had gotten destroyed and the lost colony had been in the water for a while. no one may know what had exactly happened to the lost colony, but what i think, is that there are somewhere in the sea by europe deep in the water somewhere because if no one had found them on land, then they must be in the water somewhere, because on the internet they said that they found some bodies in a circle in a water sitting on the ocean floor, i’m guessing that it’s the lost colony
