i collected all the books on dinosaurs i could find

soundtrack bumping, got the album in my hand
and the trading cards, chocolate bars with the jp logo
made the park out of lego, “mum, come and take a photo!”
i learned to draw them all and i memorized some names
and i know i’m not the only one, plenty lives had changed
but i’m hooked, got my dinosaur books in my backpack
“so what’s your favourite one?”

i guess i’m being a nerd, so i’ll be casual
‘cause all that aside, the movies are fantastic
and everybody knows jurassic park’s a classic

it’s obvious i should have been a paleontologist!
