the single will release on june 10, 2021 and will likely be followed by an album or ep announcement as this is the second single.
“i don’t want to give away too many lyrics about this song, but i do want to say that it is one of my favorites on the album, for sure. i can’t say it’s my favorite, though, because there are a few that really just get stuck in my head all the time. but with this song, it’s unlike any other on the record. it’s just a driving down the interstate with your friends on a ninety degree day going to the beach with your ray bans sunglasses on. i know that sounds very specific, but it will all make sense soon enough. back last year, i had this idea to make an album called ‘endless summer’ but i ended up scr_pping the concept, but one lyric i will give you from ‘solstice’ has the words ‘endless summer’ in it, and i did that on purpose, and the lyric is ‘this will be an endless summer, no one’s taking it away.'”
