to say that hessonite and squaridot were opposites was an understatement. there was a certain pull between the two, an attraction that wasn’t exactly the same as the typical gems they spent their time around
squaridot pulled her screens up, tilting her head up slightly. there was a moment of their eyes meeting before the peridot brushed past, ignoring the faint growl that came from the commander’s chest
the peridot continued down the hall before a hand grasped her shoulder tightly. she was pulled around, coming face to face with hessonite
“is there something you want?” she c-cked an eyebrow. the distance between them was barely half a foot and her eyes flicked up to meet the commander’s
she kept the steely demeanor on her face, hiding the thought of how gorgeous hessonite was deep under the layers of her peridot att-tude
“you know what i want.” hessonite’s voice isn’t just firm, it’s demanding
squaridot scoffs, tilting her head before crossing her arms. she pulls herself up to her full height, still not quite as tall as hessonite was. hessonite’s grip tightens on her shoulder
“let’s go to taco bell.”
it’s a matter of minutes before she is dragging her to the control bridge. squaridot’s smart enough to not try to struggle too hard, the commander’s grip is hard enough to possibly bruise. hessonite lets go once they are inside, the low light in the room adding to the mood. her hand plunges into her gem before pulling out a taco bell coupon
“if you don’t get us there by noon, i’ll slice your pretty gemstone into ribbons.”
squaridot nods, watching the ship’s course carefully
“now be a good -ssistant, and help me pick out my drink.” hessonite turned from squaridot to the cashier. “don’t think you can relax, steven, get me a taco.”
steven went to the back with a small frown
after an hour of waiting, hessonite takes squaridot’s arm now, dragging her to the kitchen in the back. she takes a moment now, eyeing the tacos. hessonite took the opportunity to bite into a few. they were all going to know someone stole from this taco bell apart even if they didn’t know it was her
“are you ready?” it’s less of a question than the words intend and squaridot shakes her head no. “too bad.”
steven then came out eating a donut before they were about to leave
“are you going to tell?” hessonite’s voice is soft, but there’s a dangerous edge to it. “if you do, i know where you live.”
steven shakes his head and finally speaks up. “i won’t.”
“then prepare literally everything on the menu, and i’ll see you tomorrow.” hessonite winked before chuckling and jumping through the roof
