and even in the midst of that, god’s kindness, that we just talked about
his sending jesus
his mercy and his grace that he has poured out upon us
there is a purpose in that
and that’s to lead you to repentance
and so what repentance is, is it’s a turning away from that way of living
it’s, it’s a recognizing
okay, “i know where i’m going
i know where my actions are taking me
and now i know what god has done for me
and so because of that, i’m gonna believe in jesus
and i’m gonna turn away
and instead of living the life that dishonors god
instead of doing things that are selfishly motivated
that only bring glory to my self
i’m now going to, by god’s power, live a life that honors him”
