nelson dube,better known by his stage name trent omar is a hip-hop & rnb singer songwriter and rapper.on 26 october 2018 trent released his first project,an 11 track lp t-tled ‘stars need darkness to shine’ (available on soundcloud & audiomack).in march 22 of the following year he released a 7 track ep t-tled jumanji ep (also availabe on soundcloud and audiomack) which had a prelude to his second lp ‘waking up the sun’ (2018)

mlungisi nelson dube was born on december 2 year 2000 to peter and millicent dube in manzini,eswatini.he is the 3rd of their 3 sons and the first musician in his family history.growing up listening to michael jackson,bruno mars,justin bieber,maroon 5 and his all time favorite musician ed sheeran,his first love was with no doubt pop music.in 2012 he was introduced to rap,later being influenced by artists such as lil wayne,drake,big sean and his all time favorite rapper and role model logic.he was introduced to logic’s music through his debut alb-m under pressure (2014) and after that nelson was interested in being a recording artist.”logic played a big role in my childhood but i have to say the alb-m that truly groomed me into the rapper i am today is j. cole’s 2014 forest hills drive”
in 2015 nelson recorded his debut single ‘kratos’ and the rest is history
