these songs and words are the only things that make sense to kids like us. i realize this more and more, with every show that i see or record that i hear. how many days will pass until this mass of confusion leaves me, all i know is that i can at least survive on these words. with so much in this world that doesn’t make sense to me, i feel like punk rock and hardcore are some of the few things that do. i see so many kids who don’t care about what is being said or what is going on around them and it makes me so angry sometimes, and i don’t understand how pеople can take something likе punk rock or hardcore and turn it into a phase. but i guess it doesn’t matter. the fact that there are kids who care and going to be playing in bands and putting on shows and writing zines and letting touring kids stay at their house makes me believe that this is so right. i feel like when we are playing or singing along to our friends’ bands, we are beyond any laws, schools, or states. that for an hour, nothing matters or exists in the world except for us
