king herod was very angry when he heard that a child had been born
that might take his place as king of the jews
he called him a priest and his own wise men
to find out if such a thing could be possible
they told him that the bible said
that a savior king would be born in bethlehem
he pretended to want to worship the baby king
but he had already made up his mind to k!ll the child
if he could find him
the wise men brought gifts to the savior king
gold, frankincense (or incense) and myrrh
these were the chief products of their country
they brought them as a special honor

before the wise men left, god warned them
that herod was planning to harm the baby jesus
god warned joseph too
told him to take jesus and mary to egypt
until the cruel king dies
so god protected his son
