he came down the chimney like a kid on a slide
with a bundle of toys flung on his back
he had a whole toystore right in his sack
he was chubby and plump, a fat little elf
he’s been eatin’ regular, i said to myself
the wink of his eye soon gave me to know
that he thought i was an okay joe
he said not a word, but, quick as a light
he filled all the stockin’s that were in sight
i offered him a snack, he said, man alive!
i would like to, but i got a long way to drive

layin’ his finger on the side of his nose
like a helicoptor, up the chimney he rose
he sprang to his sleigh, and, crackin’ his whip
off he went like a rocket_ship
i heard him say, as he flew from sight
merry christmas to all, and to all a good night
