[chorus: tufty]
on the road
my horse is my home
i been on the road (i been on the road)
my horse is my home (and my horse is my home)

[verse 1: packtion]
stumbled through the mojave desert, the sun was beating down
i know the law, on my head they had a bounty out
just tumbleweeds and millipedes, i’m living on a prayer
sat down on the riverbed, and slurpin’ was a mare
now me and this horse had something special, it wasn’t tough to crack it
it read my thoughts and sent its own, this horse was telepathic!
it hurled insults and blasphemy, things i’d never say
why couldn’t i have a normal horse? onе that would just f_ckin’ neigh?
we rode off into thе shrubland, i felt sorry for my steed
because the pants that i was wearing ain’t no ordinary jeans
weighing heavy on my horse, the insides lined with railroad steel
with the finest denim in all of reno to keep it all concealed
soon i see up in the distance, a town that’s known for mining m
the shadows of the buildings standing tall ‘gainst the horizon
saloon on up the road, looked like the sign had seen some wear
i hitched my horse and went inside and sat up on a chair
i called the bartender, “whiskey please”, he looked me dead in the eyes
behind him, saw a poster with my face, said “wanted dead or alive”
the bartender said in a low low voice, “you gotta get outta here”
and then a man came up behind me and whispered in my ear
he said “you got them jeans worth every drop of nevada silver”
i just knew by his tone of voice that he was somebody familiar
the most notorious outlaw this side of the cal_rado river
wicked ricky, i could tell that he was every part a k!ller
[chorus: tufty]
on the road
my horse is my home
i been on the road (i been on the road)
my horse is my home (and my horse is my home)

[verse 2: packtion]
now, me and ricky, we were yards apart in the middle of the square
the whole town knew a duel was hap’nin’, all the folks were there
we took our three paces, stopped, as the law required
said a quick countdown, and just like that our guns had fired
it only took a moment till our revolvers were empty
ricky’s bullet ricocheted, fool went for the testes
i had shot him right between the eyes, blood was pouring red
i knew without my trusty jeans, i’d surely meet my end
the town cheered and hollered as ricky met his fate
i knew for years to come, the town would remember my name
one fella snapped a photo with me on his google pixel phone
this would be the end of me, little did i know
sharing the photo on social media, it drew a lot of eyes
both the law and bounty hunters h_llbent on my demise
i hopped up on that saddle and told my horse “quick we gotta leave”
the horse said to me, mind to mind, “you always want something from me”
starting our escape, we could hear them closing in
i look behind us, three sheriffs riding faster than the wind
one sheriff closed the gap, gun drawn with ill intent
my horse told the sheriff’s horse to k!ll itself, and there it went
couldn’t lose the trail, then a fatal shot to my stomach
the other horses been to therapy, should’ve seen it coming
but i knew i left a mark, best cowboy to get on the saddle
and they named that town after me, jeanstown nevada
[chorus: tufty]
on the road
my horse is my home
i been on the road (i been on the road)
my horse is my home (and my horse is my home)
