the alchemist’s attempt lies in the furnace
unmoving, dormant as before
he searched the stone, the philosophy
quabalistic remnants rise and roar
then something stirred within the ashes
the creator froze and stared in awe

h_ll’s fragments harnessed in the pyre
on hobs that burned with a sulphur smell
impish and carven in the fire

the daemon sprang from the inferno
wild stare pulsed with homuncule gore
he turned and crouched to jump the mentor
the alchemist fell senseless to the floor
across the abyss

on astral plane, he was secure
he lay within the bounds of limbo
his spirit safe from hade’s lore
his guardian angel spun down to save
his body from succubus jaw
the daemon turned his eyes down from the angel
an astral bolt crashed upon the floor
the daemon spat, then seared by god’s fire
blasted to dust upon the floor
the angel flew back to the astral
to send the spirit safely home
return it to the lifeless body
the resurrection then was known
