to persuade her different, she persisted as her pupil caught the beams
deep inside she felt alive

from blur to complete blindness, she’s stumbling around
“_now all i have is darkness!”, poor iris screamed and cried she felt the sun was shining and touching her pale skin
but to her heartfelt sorrow, unable to be seen

fragments of vision all gone, sacrificed
she felt betrayed, the damage stole her precious light the thing she hated is now her all
the thing she wanted stole her eyes and gave her nothing

not even shadows can penetrate the black she’s in her journey to the light, a feeble dream not realized
she felt the sun was shining and touching her pale skin but to her heartfelt sorrow, unable to be seen
