on reading the word ‘world’ in the prompt, my mind immediately tried to capture vague details of my school and family life, the support i received from them while reaching for my dreams et al. this inanimate wonder connected me to the people around me in ways i would never have imagined, and breathed life into my dreams of the future
my earliest memories on the computer were of simple interactive games like putt putt and the ever-fascinating ms paint. as my father showed me the ropes on our very first computer, i developed an insatiable thirst to explore every aspect of the computer on my own. over the years, my childish fascination grew to be an intense interest, and i found i was no longer satisfied with simply being a software user. i wanted to know how i could will my computer into doing the things i wanted it to do. and so, i took the first steps towards being a programmer

while being taught basic programming through the likes of qbasic and visual basic at school, my teachers noticed my intuitive understanding and usage of the computer. i was the kid badgering my computer science teacher for increasingly challenging programs. i often helped my peers solve their programming-related problems, sometimes taking over their code to tailor it to my satisfaction.
in fact, i have just come off a programming marathon with a close friend for our final c++ project of the year
