what do roosters, when they discuss their henwives, have to say about them?
you know exactly what they say:
“can’t live with ’em, can’t live without ’em”
meanwhile, the hens are complaining of boredom:
“he eats, then he naps! might as well be thanksgiving!
he watches tv, and his sole conversation is
‘hey, honey, c_ck_a_doodle_do!’
this is living?”

c_cks and hens
or, if you will, hens and c_cks
either way, the words have a cantankerous sound
they don’t go together, yеt somehow, they do
and that, friends, is what makеs the merry go round
