hey guys how’s it going? dex star here with a lesson for you on a uh, whats this called? an advanced ghost note groove. it’s quite a simple name i should have remembered that. so uh, i’m gonna jump straight in. uh_ you’ll be able to find a pdf for this music if you wanna follow along with the notation on my patreon page go check that out if you’re interested
uh_ let’s jump straight in. so we have four parts to this groove. uh_ part one, we’re gonna be playing a bass drum and a hi_hat together, followed by a ghost note _ which is just a quite note on the snare drum _ followed by another bass drum and hi_hat, followed by another ghost note
so part one first beat is one ee and uh. bass and hat, ghost note, bass and hat, ghost note. quite simple. on to part two, we’re going to be playing the left hand and the right hand at the same time, we’re gonna be accenting the snare drum
so we’re gonna give a fair bit of welly to that note just there. so up to there; one ee and uh two and that beat two you can hear that snare drum _ it’s gotta be a contrast to that ghost note so: quite, quite, loud. make sure you get that in
