“hey, you! sit down,” the lady said
“let’s see what stories fill your head
feature films or scripts you’ve penned
show us now — no need to pretend.”

“sure,” i said, “check your mail
scripts are sent — they’re on the trail
read them through — if they fit
we can talk — that would be lit.”
“no,” she frowned, “that’s not the deal
i want a film that’s fully real
show your work or leave this sp_ce —
no film? then quit — save your grace.”

“d_mn, if i had cash to spend
i’d make my films — no need to bend
i wouldn’t be here, begging still
for you to see my written sk!ll.”

“see that line? the endless crew?
they’ve done nothing — just like you
join the queue, and wait your turn —
maybe someday you’ll get your churn.”

i thought of leaving, walking out
but rage within replaced my doubt
“if that’s the game, then here’s my play —
i’ll show them all — they’ll rue this day.”

“hands up now!” i shouted loud
“raise them high — don’t face the crowd
this ain’t a joke — don’t test me here
i’ll shoot if anyone comes near!”

“holy h_ll!” they screamed in fright
“this won’t end well — not tonight
we can’t call cops — we’re stuck in place
we can’t move, not one inch of sp_ce.”
sirens wailed and closed in fast
i knew my time would not long last
“i’ll let them go if you agree —
grant my wish and set me free.”

the cops yelled back, “what do you need?
name your price — just don’t mislead
say it fast, we’ll work it through
let them out — we’ll deal with you.”

i smirked and said, “alright, here’s this:
all i want — my movie pitch.”

the woman gasped, “well, that’s a twist!
best script pitch we’ve ever missed!
head right in — they’ll sign you fast
this is gold — you’ve got your cast.”
