well h_llo everybody and how are you?
i tell you this, it’s what we’re gonna do
i got a real good story and a real good rhyme
that won’t take much of your precious time
it’s the real story of christmas night
where the eight reindeer took their famous flight
but before we start, i’ll introduce myself
i’m mighty mike, the funky elf

say, [?] elves [?] watch what time it is?
yeah, i got the correct time
oh yeah [?], what time is it?
it’s christmas time, of course
what do you mean christmas timе?
ha ha ha ha, well i’ll tell you (okay)
you see, this is how the story goеs

christmas time is for wrapping gifts
that you send off to your relatives
a time for cookies that you bake
and when you eat ’em you get the big [?]
a time for toys, and dolls, and drums
it’s the time of the year for rump_pum_pum_pum
twinkling lights and boughs of holly
a time to be all_around jolly
silver bells and shining stars
a time to [?] in your cars
to buy the tinsel to hang in the tree
a time to invite the whole family
a time of songs and riding sleighs
it’s the time of the years for vacation days
a time for youth and a time for old
to get together in the cold
it’s a time for wishing peace and joy
and hope and love for all girls and boys
time of the year for christmas snow
time to stand under the mistletoe
and you grab a kiss from your favorite friend
keep standing there, she’ll do it again
presents and toys for everyone
christmas time is a lot of fun
now look out baby ’cause here i come
with the holly and the christmas rum
i’m gonna have a party, gonna have a bash
by the time it ends we’ll all be smashed
but now to the story of christmas eve
which only your ears shall receive
you better listen close, beyond your toes
’cause this is how the story goes
it was the night before christmas, and all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
the stockings were hung by the chimney brick
to be later filled by old st. nick
the kids were asleep, snug in their beds
while visions of dreams danced through their heads
my girl in her scarf and i in my cap
we just had settled down for a night cap
when out on the lawn we heard a loud clatter
i sprang up fast to see what was the matter
away to the window i flew in a flash
i opened the shutters and threw up the sash
but what to my wondering eyes should appear?
but a miniature sleigh and eight funky reindeer
with a little older driver, lively and quick
i know in a moment it was st. nick
now as fast as light, the reindeer came
as we all called them out by name
now, dasher! (dasher!)
now, dancer! (dancer!)
now, prancer! (prancer!)
and vixen (and vixen!)
come on comet (comet!)
come on cupid (cupid!)
boogie on donder and blitzen! (donder and blitzen!)
a_to the top of the porch, to the top of the wall!
now, dash away, dash away, dash away all
up to the housetops the reindeer flew
with the sleigh full of toys and st. nick too
and then in a flash i heard on the roof
the pawing noise of each little hoof
oh yeah
as i drew in my head and was turnin’ around
down the chimney he came with the big bound
he was dressed in fur, from his head to his foot
and his clothes were tarnished with ashes and soot
a bundle of toys were flung on his back
he looked like a peddler opening his pack
his eyes were bright and his cheeks were merry
his big brown nose looked just like a cherry
his little mouth was drawn like a bow
and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow
the stump of his pipe was tight in his t__th
and the smoke encircled his head like a wreath
he had a broad face and a little round belly
that shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly
he was chubby and plump, a jolly old elf
and i laughed when i saw him in spite of myself
a wink of an eye and a twist of his head
let me know i had nothin’ to dread
spoke not a word, but went straight to work
and filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk
feeling kind of hungry, he looked at the plate
with the cookies and milk, well he quickly ate
then laying the finger aside of his nose
gave a nod and up the chimney he rose
he sprang to his sleigh and gave a shout
and away they all flew, boogien’ out
but i heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight
“merry christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
now the christmas story doesn’t stop right here
’cause rudolph was added in another year
this red_nosed pet was on the ball
and he became the most famous of them all
there are many more stories which may be true
like frosty the snowman and jack frost too
but you heard the story and you heard the rhyme
and what do you know, we’ve run out of time
this is mighty mike, the funky elf
and it’s about that time to go back on the shelf
but before i go, before i fly
my friends and i have a planned goodbye
have yourself a real good day
and everybody, all ready to say
merry christmas!
