do you think it would have melted under the sun’s gaze
searing rays of
nothing lasts forever?
the rain eventually comes
surfing through coasts of adoration
you missed the waves on reciprocation
they sweep by me
i was lost
but i told you where to find me
how do you always jump in so blindly?
if you truly understood what love meant
or believed it when you said it then
i wouldn’t be stuck here in suspense
so we just sit on the sands as the waves run by
