one fateful night, i tried to break free
but he grabbed my wrist and wouldn’t let be
violence erupted, as he pushed me down below
locked the door behind him, leaving me in woe

i screamed for mercy, for a shred of light
but all i got was darkness, in the dead of night
betrayed by promises made so sweetly
trapped in a nightmare that haunted me completely
so here i stand now, bearing these scars
a survivor of horrors that left invisible bars
but through it all, one truth remains true:
no matter what they did to me, my spirit will renew
