from the beginning my uncle started to win.

ah, but that can’t be, because my uncle, well, he’s as honest as me.
and i’m about as honest as a denver man can be.

one of them cowboys, you know he started to draw.
i grabbed a bottle, slapped him on the jaw.
i had to shoot another, now he won’t grow old
in the confusion my uncle grabbed the gold.
and we hightailed it down to mexico,
mexico, way down to mexico.
