separated based on whoever we are and whatever we got
a window can barely wind open when the coating burns in a pot
ignoring the conditions of a slum whether it is good or not
partisan elections of a ballot and a box to insert the dot

it is everybodys choice but with only a few reasoning
several flags are flying high without any answers to questioning
the strength of an arm defies the power of a right
an unstable way of living of a community is a hindsight

most will stand and get taken for an inheritance and pretend to be blind
a lot of people see the wrong doing and fall in a straight line
many can stand to see a good thing go to waste and let it slide

one thing about when the communities collide is that we can see opportunity for us all on every side
equality in a community where everybody has a say to vote poverty homelessness and unemployment as nay
when a government leader can’t leave whos eager to perish
when those who vote yay to chains and deprivation are sent well on the way

there isnt much of a community today
either one group of people are separated from the other group of people and this side has one thing and the other doesnt have a thing
the good lord giveth and the good lord taketh away
whatever washes into the water doesnt always make it back to bay

you may imagine this community of ours being a place of security economical and resourceful
full of all of the things that the world needs without people that are violent and disrespectful
anything else for a community might sound to be awful
the world does not need negativity circling around its community

somebody might know what i mean by what a community is to me
no drugs no crime and people with jobs homes and not hungry
the right to learn and live in our world freely
where everything is run to get done in our community
