jave q - ak debris interview كلمات الأغنية
1.) for the people who don’t know who you are how would you introduce yourself?
answer: my name is ak debris, that’s it haha , s is silent but it don’t matter i’m used to “debreeez” . i am a producer rapper youtuber , and i like to think im a philosopher but im just me , just a crazy guy from arabia , some people hate and some people celebrate , and most find me funny or entertaining alhamdulelah , im grateful for them they the reason we sitting down today .. but im just me ak , treat me like a regular person no big head like the guys u probably have here .. and it’s a pleasure to be here i wanna thank you for having me
2.) when did you begin making music or getting into?
answer: man i fell in love with this when i was just a soulja boy fan .. people where im from dont aspire to be this , they usually just say like i used to wanna be a rapper … those ones are my haters but anyway .. my situation at home and life , wasn’t the most pelasent and thanks to the era of the internet and soulja boy making it seem possible , that’s when i went all in .. and that was probably 2011 maybe before maybe after .. but yea
i really was a youtuber first, then haters got me deleted … i came back as a rapper after i lost 100 _ videos hard work .. they weren’t me sitting on couch like today, they were real action short films so u can imagine, geting people to be down and arranging , filming , editing, i wasn’t rich and my family hated it .. and society looked down on it , i didn’t have a hard drive to store all my work either , i got deleted after all this and didn’t keep exepct the last few … so i was sick of life i almost took myself out, soulja boy was in his rich hollywood era , way after crank that , and i didn’t listen to him since then but the parody songs made me tune in .. and i fell in love with it like youtubing all over again .. this time it was revenge .. on the haters and everybody , and like i said the situation at home, and lack of support , rap music is illegal at the time in arabia .. but i didn’t have the luxury of chilling like most people my age, i had to seek a better life or end mine altogether, so i went all in .. and we’re here today so ..
3.) how did you get your artist name?
answer: a and k that’s my initials, but debris is what happens like after an explosion , the debris is left over, so i am debris kaboom haha .. i i thought it would be how you know the chaos, and growing up in in arabia , that type of life you know , chaotic in a way … that being the boom, and u get the leftovers which is me, it’s like how it shaped me and obviously the music too and all that
4.) what are your goals in music, what do you think you’ll be able to achieve?
answer: i just wanna see the day i go mainstream haha and get to the point people say ak is a sell out … it wil be beautiful, that moment is what i strive for
i really dont have fixed goals anymore , i tend to get bummed out if they dont happen , i’m like the first to make it where i’m from , to branch in scam rap, to try to make shelat in english, to do all this in like mid to post pandemic era of the music business, or the internet because that’s what it is now , im already in uncharted terriroty , there’s no road map , soulja made it but way back then , things were different , you understand … it’s hard to set a destination when you dont have a map , i’m like christopher columbus … so no specific goals, i just wanna leave a legacy , tell the stories i couldn’t tell when i didn’t have freeedom of speech or a voice at all … i dont set a goal like climbing himalayas, i set it like i’m gonna climb to this visible area i can see, and go from there
5.) who are some artist’s that inspire your sound and do you think where you live/grew up influenced your sound?
answer: as far as the scam rap that was borrowed from detroit , but i only did that recently and that’s what grew my name , i’m grateful .. but my old ak sound the ones my og fans ask for in the comments all the time , that autotune crazy ak that’s from arabia .. there is genre of music in saudi arabia, it’s called shelat and they be going autotune crazy , and praising someone or themselves, or dissing like a rap diss song , like there was a whole lot of fire shelat that came out the war in yemen … and all the beef arabia has politically , that too , songs about all that
my fav one was the iran diss songs , no offense anybody .. but the songs are fire , i still get turnt up to it in 2023 ..
definitely mhanna al otaibi , my favorite artist of all time .. i’m sorry im just rambling at this point , go on ..
6.) music’s diversity in sound has expanded so much more recently, what makes you different?
answer: i used to say scam rap and the flow , but that’s not me man .. i did it for a while but it lost its taste to me … the fans love it so i make it but i love the autotune me …
if you give it a chance i originate a lot of flows, that get stolen and i never get my credit , they all work to hide me. i’m glad i have you here today to witness , but yea go check my autotune work like vlone warrior , arabian themed album …
7.) who are your dream features?
answer: dream features hahaha … future , i don’t know who else … uzi and i would go crazy, and future … since they both do the autotune i wanna do a no_hook , back and forth freestyle , autotune madness … like sup mate , future and thug. i love back and forth with somebody, if you look back i was doing that before everybody ! autotune back and forth too
i gotta say i did work with most of my the artists i dreamed of working with , i worked with artists outside of rap like omar cunningham , grammy nominated, i used to listen to him in my college days when i got sick of rap .. i still do and i listen to mhanna otaibi and badr al sheafani , if you check it out , you can see where i get my inspiration from … my haters say i copy uzi , but thank god i have you here so we can document this , i say to those , that i have imported a whole new style that has never been done in english , and you can check and see for yourself zalzalat harb by my boy badr … i would go and get a translator and have him write the lyrics in english but i scare people away when i do translate a few lines , so i don’t think they can handle it haha … and yet they listen to drill and youngboy and that’s supposed to be hard and dark, trust me .. they dont know what that means , i’m from arabia
i would get a mhanna feature , but i rather my own shela , by him, because , shelat is supposed to praise men , so i would give him 100,000 usd for example and he would make a song about me and sing like ” o ak , you so brave , you stand in battlefield and the enemies run away” etc. … like my own theme song , i’d ruin the song if i was to feature on it
8.) what is one thing you love about making music and what is one thing you hate?
answer: music is the language we can all speak, i love when i get a uber or cab driver from india for example and he got music from where’s he from playing .. i can’t speak the language obviously but man i can tell you with no doubt at all , i can tell you for sure, that k_mar got his heart broken , just from the song and atosmphere or vibe , beat , melody the way he sang that oooma kariii karaa , you know ?
i dont know what he saying , but i know he sad for example i can feel him .. just look at usa for example , there’s racist people who lived thru the civil rights stuff and they hate black peoeple with a passion , but their son loves black music , music just connects people .. i credit music for helping america getting over that racist era , just as much as a mlk or rosa parks ..
i love music , i love the fans and those who enjoy my work itself, and the respect and love i crave that i can’t lie .. i hate the business side of it and the crooks and unsavory people , those who come around pretending to be friends or have opportuniues , it is what it is .. i hate worrying or stressing about the money and music or making it feel like a chore … listen i made most my money as audio engineer , sitting for days listening to music all day all night , i can handle that but still when it feels like a chore, it takes the fun out of it …
i made my money and came to have fun , and give what i want to those who enjoy it , the money and status i dont care for it like i used to .. i’m good , this is not an interview with an artist , this me and you chilling like friends , this is me taking a break from work , this is two quality people talking
9.) before we end our interview please elaborate anything else you’d like about yourself or promo for any upcoming projects your dropping soon!
answer: stay tuned , i got songs with people you won’t beleive, i got my hands on a crip mac song, and it’s his best song , his only club song and im singing on it … hit ! kasher quon , hit … omar like i said .. i got 2 with him , hit hit and hit .. i got alot coming , alot..
you seen me post my last doccumentary on instagram ? yea i remember you liked that one, i got multiple coming , they’re all a hit too , hit after hit , crazy stories , i have one about a convicted saudi terrorist , first time in english and in details .. and one about the ritz cartlon arabia , if you heard about royals and businessmen getting locked up in the ritz.. most people dont know the full story behind that, they think it was all nice and luxury .. it’s not as nice as it sounds haha , some people died under toruture in that ritz. i know alot that’s not out there in the media or the internet , but i just used to not have the freedom of speech back then, to tell it … never been told before !
check my old doccumentaries too i did one about north korea and how they hacked banks and crypto, and the billion dollar wire with a b.. 2 episodes on the full hack in details too .. and i tell them in a funny way , not robotic monotone like the stuff you’re used to . yes , and the nerd , the software programmer that turned to a cartel boss gangster milionaire and why i think he might be satoshi … 7 episodes that one , trust me , way better than netflix !
i did one on brett johnson , you know him ? you might’ve seen him on vice when they made the piece about scammers and had teejayx6 too , he’s the white guy. the guy who made the first cybercrime site or forum , like 6 episodes ! he’s reformed now, served his time and came out of prison , he speaks out on how to stay safe from that stuff now and he’s a youtuber too but they supress him too , so go support him guys !
he’s a cool dude, really humble , i call him og haha. he showed me love and support me , i did another one on a guy on his case who got hit with 40 years for hacking, i told him and he offered to help me and give me literal case files and stuff when i was working on the part 2 about albert , the guy in his story who got 40 years for hacking .. wanna know why ? you can go watch i go into all that in details .. another 5 episodes ! hit !
brett actually watched the doccumentary i did on him and he said that’s the most insightful funny ones out of all the ones out there. i tell them in a comedic way , and break down the hard nerd stuff to the viewer you might not understand that stuff, that’s my specialy no big words ..
unfortunately our country is ran by a guy that no longer cares about us , the old media companies are mad there is people like me online who are outdoing their whole establishment so they came up with this bill, we have a bill that passed in canada called bill c_11 so im suppressed to the max , i ask your support and i wouldn’t ask if i didn’t need it , and yea .. thank you for having me it’s an honour , hopefully we do this again
