my cuzn deondra green sparked the fire back under me after me having writers block for about 5 months. my kids mom connie asked me if i heard lemon pepper beat and at the time i haven’t so she suggested that i write to it. when i heard it i instantly started creating, and i knew exactly where i wanted to go(the beat was talking to me) and it was personal, so i had to reintroduce myself and tell peoplе my true feelings. everything about this song is all true еvents and facts. it’s me, where i come from and how i survived in these chicago streets. i wanted change so i changed and i remember the non believers telling me to be basic and i wasn’t listening to that. after seeing and hearing about my close friends and family getting k!lled, i knew i had to be there change for the ones who are still here to be able to change. it’s work in progress but i’m getting it done
