greetings and salutations! this is jinx, the goth queen, speaking on the making of witchcraft. once thou embark on this dark but enlightening journey, there will be no turning back. thy thirst for this secret knowledge will never be sated. there are many coven tales, and in time, all will be told. back in the late sixties, we were the unholy trinity: myself, steve ross, and oz osborne, three of my coven of thirteen that chose to musically enlighten the turned_on love generation… to the left_hand path. and to change the face of rock music for decades to come
for two years we’ve been coming out of coffins each night performing our macabre, gothic rock opera, when we signed to dunwich productions, arcam artists, and mercury records _ a true match made in h_ll! at the formal signing there was a red felt pen by each of our individual contracts when we arrived. i guess these businessmen assumed we were just another tripped out, acid, rock band with a freaked_out show!
we threw the pens on the floor, pulled out our cursed blades, sliced our wrists, then dipped our quill ls into the warm red droplets of our own blood! in awe and fear they watched as we each signed in our own blood, dripping red all over the long executive desk! only then did they take us seriously, from then on, we had them under our spell!
these nine songs were recorded at universal studios, the black mass at a clandestine location. we knew we were revealing secret history. everyone involved was sworn to an oath of which all involved but two, to my knowledge, have kept this oath all these thirty_seven years! i do not draw first blood, but since these two betrayers have broken their oath, i now feel obligated to keep the record straight. at the last minute, the black mass was edited by the producers, as they thought, its power may fall into the wrong hands!
an incantation to finalize the appearance of a goetic spirit was omitted in the final mix! i have chosen to replace this incantation that has been missing for thirty_seven years i do strongly warn thee that this now_completed mask is not to be taken lightly! it is here for historic reasons only, not to be experimented with…
as a young neophyte back then, i too was forbidden c_cky and did, as did alistair crowley, once did suffer grave consequences, not being properly prepared for an evocation and did not call the proper license to depart. and bael did rise and possess the body of my feline familiar, paimon, and she was k!lled when the demon escaped through an alley wall, and of course, the cat, a being of the third dimension was smashed into the bricks!

six months later, witchcraft was banned and pulled from record stores. we decided to perform a banishing ritual at our manager’s office. we burned our contracts in brass bowls while chanting, we drew ashen crosses on the secretaries’ heads, we made such a mess with ashes, flames, and blood that their carpet had to be replaced. we left chicago and headed west for the city of angels. my dear, cherished friends, this music… and this blood has been spilled for you… and i thank thee, my friend
