it came real quick and i’m learning the song and mack’s on the phone, he gets off the phone, he said “i just found that i’ve got a songwriting check for several thousand bucks”
he said um, “let’s go get it and see where we can get it cashed”
and he said “what are we gon’ do then?”
i said “h_ll, mack, let’s go to california”
mack said ” that’s a great idea”
so we got it cashed and we bought us a couple eight b_lls and headed out in the middle of the night for california
